Volker Joen Jung, MD, earned his medical degree at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Duesseldorf. He works as a board certified Psychiatrist and Psychotherapist in private practice. Being a Zen practitioner since 1997 he was ordained as a monk by Daniel Doen Silberberg, Roshi who is his teacher since 2007. In 2017 he received deshi which made him an assistant teacher in the Lost Coin lineage. He is an enthusiastic water-colour painter since 2014 with particular interest in landscape and still-life painting.
