Mike LeBlanc has been studying with Lost Coin for eight years, and has been a Zen practitioner since 1998. Originally from the state of Maine, he headed west for large snowy mountains and achieved his childhood dream of becoming a well-known professional snowboarder. His love of photography has developed from studying skateboarding and punk rock magazines in his early teens to a captured-subject emphasis in his professional snowboarding career. Photos of his have been published in art and action magazines and he has directed two hit snowboarding movies: loveHATE and Burning Bridges. Photography is Mike’s arts practice—a practice he feels compelled to do for no other reason other than to share his work with others—and is not one he necessarily considers an occupation.
